I have been a craftsman in the house painting industry since my father, great uncle Louis Marineau and my older cousins Mark, Brian and Leslie helped me become master craftsman. My Father taught me everything from making a table from a tree in the back yard in Montpelier Vermont to building a race car engine to race at Thunder Road. The drive to learn whatever anyone was willing to teach me was my playground. From a paintbrush to a rachet set, painters’ tape to a measuring tape, T-square to a speed square I wanted to learn and learn I did.

Coming from a military family I was asked at 17 years old what branch of service I would be joining. I chose the ARMY and became a Military Police Officer and served with the Vermont Army National Guard. I am a proud US Army veteran who can be found at the South Florida National Cemetery every Memorial Day weekend to remember those who gave their lives in service for our country.

In 1988 I moved to Waterford Connecticut and not long after that I started my first business M&M Professional Painting. At that early age, I was blessed with working with another master craftsman, 

Mr. Ted Nelson of T.J. Nelson Home Improvements. As a sub-contractor, I owned and operated M&M Professional Painting for 30+ years, bringing it with me to South Florida in 1997 to escape the New England cold. In July of 2017 my wife and I had to change the company name. Not an easy choice to make but necessary. Thus, Solid Home Solutions was born. SHS will offer so much more than just house painting. 

In July of 2017 we started a complete painting restoration project of The Providencia House in West Palm Beach. Restoring a 1937 mansion on the water is not a bad way to begin a new company and you can see the results in our photo gallery. This project kept us busy for almost the whole 1st year.

Since then, we have been building wonderful new relationships with existing and new clients, as well as our working partner contractors. We are building a small business here in Palm Beach County, Florida, and we look forward to meeting you and providing the outstanding services that you expect. 

As of July of 2023, our client list has grown to over 300 and our partnerships with vetted local tradesman to over 30. We are super excited for what lies ahead. Thank you for our success!
